Other than the final score, of course, word out of Stillwater regarding injuries is mostly positive tonight.
Star safety Kamari Cotton-Moya did not play in Iowa State’s 38-31 loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday. Wide receiver Trever Ryen went down with an apparent ankle injury in the third quarter and Allen Lazard took a huge hit from and OSU defender on the final play of the game.
Campbell says Lazard is fine. Says is nothing major for Ryen. Cotton-Moya dinged up against Baylor. Question mark next week, too.

It’s hard to tell how seriously we should take Campbell’s postgame injury comments because let’s face it; coaches aren’t exactly the most trustworthy creatures when it comes to such a topic.
Ryen’s injury looked pretty bad on TV though and fears of a concussion cluttered my mind after watching Lazard take that hit.
Iowa State’s defense played surprisingly well without Cotton-Moya – its best player – in the lineup.
If the Cyclones can pick themselves up again after another devastating loss, there is a major opportunity on the horizon for Iowa State’s improving offense to continue to produce.
Texas – Iowa State’s next opponent (6 p.m. next Saturday on Cyclones.tv) – gave up 7.8 yards per play (and 672 yards) in Saturday’s 45-40 loss to Oklahoma.
