RECRUITING: A list of this weekend’s visitors

All week long, fans and media alike have been building up this weekend for its magnitude to Iowa State recruiting. Most of the focus has been on basketball, but there’s no doubt it will be a big weekend for the football coaching staff, as well.

Here is a list of this weekend’s official visitors for football and basketball.

Basketball

Lindell Wigginton – Point Guard – Oak Hill Academy (VA)

The hype for Wigginton’s visit has been building for weeks and the time has finally come for the four-star floor general to arrive in Ames. Wigginton, who is the No. 12 point guard in the class, according to 247 Composite, is thought to be down to Oregon and Iowa State for his college choice.

The 6-foot-1-inch, 175-pound, prospect took in Eugene two weeks ago. Now, it’s Steve Prohm and staff’s chance to try and impress the No. 53 player in the country.

Isaiah Stokes – Power Forward – IMG Academy

Stokes came on Iowa State fans’ radar a couple weeks ago when it was reported that he would be making a visit to Ames. The four-star prospect, according to 247, also holds offers from Tennessee, Florida, Memphis, TCU and North Carolina.

The 6-foot-8-inch, 285-pounder is rated as the No. 76 player in the country by 247 and the No. 20 power forward.

Terrence Lewis – Small Forward – Milwaukee, Wis. (Riverside)

Lewis became the first player to commit to Iowa State’s 2017 class back in August and got the ball rolling for Prohm and his staff. The 6-foot-6-inch, 195-pound, forward pledged to Iowa State over offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Marquette, Minnesota and quite a few others.

He’s the No. 118 prospect in the country, according to 247 Composite, and is rated as a four-star.

Football

Keisean Nixon – Cornerback – Arizona Western Community College

Nixon has been one of the staff’s top priorities since the spring, but he became even more important with Butler County C.C. defensive back Octavious Morgan’s decommitment earlier this month. Nixon is rated as the No. 5 JUCO cornerback in the country by 247 Composite and has been electric during his sophomore season for No. 1 Arizona Western.

Iowa State was one of the first schools to offer the 6-foot, 200-pound, prospect and his friendship with ISU defensive back D’Andre Payne could be a big plus.

He also holds offers from Missouri (will visit Columbia on Nov. 25), Colorado State, Arkansas, Boise State and a host of others.

Matt Leo – Defensive End – Arizona Western Community College

Currently pledged to Arizona, the 6-foot-7-inch, 265-pounder is the No. 8 JUCO weak-side defensive end in the country, according to 247 Composite. The three-star prospect is expected to be a mid-year enrollee.

Jaylen Dixon – Wide Receiver – Frisco, Texas (Lone Star)

Dixon became a hot name after he had a big performance during one of his games that was aired on ESPN. The 5-foot-10-inch, 160-pound, three-star seems to likely be a fit at the M-position for Iowa State.

The explosive pass catcher also holds offers from Utah, Syracuse, Utah State and a few others.

Tarique Milton – Wide Receiver – Bradenton, Florida (Manatee)

Another player that seems like to fit at the M, Milton also holds offers from Michigan State, Kentucky, Louisville and a handful of others. The 5-foot-10.5-inch, 156-pound, two-star is rated as the No. 282 wide receiver in the country by 247 Composite.

He unofficially visited Ames back in June.
