RECRUITING: Top 100 SF Terrence Lewis set to visit ISU this weekend

Four-star small forward Terrence Lewis announced on Tuesday that Iowa State, Marquette, UNLV and Illinois are his top four schools after the July live period.

The next steps to his recruiting process are already in motion as the 6-foot-5-inch, 180-pound, Milwaukee-native, is set to travel to Ames for an unofficial visit this weekend.

Lewis is rated as the No. 99 prospect in the country by 247 composite. He’s pegged as the No. 22 small forward in the class of 2017 and the second-best prospect from Wisconsin.

Lewis is a long, rangy athlete that has an excellent frame by today’s basketball standards. He is good at using his long arms to block shots, and that length helps him to be a solid perimeter defender.

His highlight tape is an impressive mix of dunks, down-low finishes and corner 3-pointers. His shot is smooth and he handles the ball well enough to fit at the three-spot at the next level.

Lewis isn’t exactly an overwhelming athlete but I feel his game is slightly more polished than some other recruits coming out of high school.

There is no doubt this weekend will be a big one for Iowa State and if it goes well, don’t be surprised to see Lewis’ recruiting process move quickly.
