Adding defensive linemen is one of the top priorities for the Iowa State coaching staff moving forward with their recruiting class. That fact makes this weekend a big one.
Junior college defensive tackles Ray Lima and Kamilo Tongamoa are set to visit Ames over the weekend, a source told Cyclone Fanatic on Thursday. Both guys are priorities along the defensive front with NE Oklahoma A&M defensive tackle Wiley Lester.
Lima is a 6-foot-3-inch, 310-pound run stopper from El Camino Community College in California. He also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, Colorado, Ohio and San Jose State.
Tongamoa was a three-star prospect that committed to Colorado State out of high school before ending up at Merced College. The 6-foot-5-inch, 320-pound, prospect also holds an offer from Colorado.
Iowa State commit Matthew Eaton, from Pearl River Community College in Mississippi, will also visit over the weekend. This will be his first time in Ames.
2018 in-state offensive lineman Andrew Todd, 6-foot-3-inch, 263-pounds, will also be on campus for an unofficial visit. The Cedar Rapids, Washington is rated as a three-star prospect by 247.
