Iowa State’s offensive line was going to be inexperienced in 2016 with junior Jake Campos as its starting right tackle.
Campos, who has reportedly suffered a leg injury, was supposed to account for 23 of 24 starts on Iowa State’s projected starting offensive line for a Sept. 3 opener against UNI.
According to a source, Campos suffered a serious leg/ankle injury at practice on Saturday. The amount of time he will miss in 2016 is still not known at this time.
The Des Moines Register’s Tommy Birch first reported the Campos injury news on Sunday night.
Behind Campos on the depth chart at right tackle is junior Shawn Curtis.
