Iowa State signee Emmanuel Malou has declared for the 2016 NBA Draft without signing an agent, according to multiple sources. The news was first reported by The Vertical’s Shams Charania.
Our Chris Williams tweeted that the move is just for precaution.
It still seems likely the 6-foot-9-inch, 210-pound, forward will make it to Ames but he will have until May 25 to make his final decision. Malou was one of the most sought after junior college recruits in the country before choosing the Cyclones over Kansas.
The following tweet by the Ames Tribune’s Travis Hines is important to keep in mind here too.
He was rated as a four-star recruit by 247. Stay tuned to Cyclone Fanatic for more as this story develops.
