Cedar Rapids Washington linebacker O’Rien Vance has committed to Iowa State, according to multiple sources. Vance is rated as a three-star prospect by Scout.com and is one of the top players in Iowa for the class of 2017.

Vance had 92.5 tackles – 75 solo and 25 for loss – during his junior season while adding four sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery for the Warriors. Their season ended in the state quarterfinals against Cedar Rapids, Kennedy.

He was named first team all-state by the Des Moines Register and was the Cedar Rapids Gazette’s area defensive player of the year.
