AMES — The so-called "Sack Mamba" had one heck of a senior season at ISU.

Dale Pierson — a.k.a, "Sack Mamba" — tied the single-season school record for quarterback takedowns with 8.5, a total that ranked second among Big 12 pass rushers this season.

Soon he’ll be heading to the second annual College Gridiron Showcase All-Star Game in January at Arlington, Texas. News of Pierson’s invitation to the game was released this morning by ISU Athletics Communications.

Pierson earned second-team All-Big 12 honors this season while totaling 12.5 tackles for loss.
