Irving, Texas — The Iowa State women’s basketball team has been pegged to finish fourth in the Big 12 preseason poll released Wednesday, the teams highest preseason selection since 2008-09.

Baylor, Texas and Oklahoma made up the top three of the poll with the Bears receiving eight first-place votes, while the Longhorns and Sooners each got one vote for the top spot.

The Cyclones have met or exceeded their projection in the Big 12 Coaches Preseason Poll every season since 2002-03. They return several key players from last year’s team that won 18 games, including junior Seanna Johnson and redshirt sophomore Jadda Buckley.

Iowa State will tip-off their season on November 13 when Hampton visits Hilton Coliseum.
