Over the next couple of weeks, get ready for an onslaught of preseason watch lists, rankings and you know – all of that October jazz.

Except this year, it should be a lot of fun.

For the most part, Iowa State will be a consensus top 10 team heading into the 2015-16 season and on Tuesday morning, CBSSports.com’s Gary Parrish chimed in by placing the Cyclones at No. 6 in this top 25 (and one).

Parrish’s top 10 looked like this…

1 – North Carolina

2 – Kentucky

3 – Kansas

4 – Maryland

5 – Virginia

6 – Iowa State

7 – Duke

8 – Oklahoma

9 – Wichita State

10 – Gonzaga

That’s three Big 12 teams in the top 10 if you’re keeping track at home. Parrish additionally has Baylor ranked 19th respectively.
