IRVING, Texas – Iowa State senior guard Bryce Dejean-Jones earned his third Phillips 66 Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honor after averaging 17.0 points in the Cyclones’ wins against Texas and TCU last week. Oklahoma’s Ryan Spangler was named the league’s player of the week.

Dejean-Jones was nearly perfect from the field, making 10-of-13 shots (.769), including his only 3-point attempt. He scored 18 points against the Longhorns and followed with 16 against TCU. Dejean-Jones was 13-of-17 (.765) from the line, with 11 rebounds and five assists. He leads the Cyclones with 5.8 rebounds per game this season. 

Dejean-Jones and the Cyclones return to action Monday night at Kansas.
