AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior center Tom Farniok has been invited to participate in the 2015 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, Jan. 17at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl was established in 2012 and has already gained a reputation as one of the premiere post-season all-star games for draft-eligible college football players. Farniok is the second Cyclone to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, joining current Jacksonville Jaguar and former All-Big 12 linebacker Jeremiah George (2014).
A two-time honorable mention All-Big 12 selection, Farniok is a four-year starter for the Cyclones, recording 46 career starts. He was a member of the Rimington Award watch list, an award given annually to the nation’s top center, and the Wuerffel Trophy watch list.
Farniok is one of two Cyclones currently signed up to play in a post-season all-star game. Tight end E.J. Bibbs will play in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on Jan. 25.
