Larry Jefferson, a 6-5, 230-pound defensive end at Itawamba (Miss.) Community College has verbally committed to play for ISU beginning next season, a source told CycloneFanatic.com this afternoon.
Jefferson, a consensus three-star prospect, had previously committed to West Virginia.
He also had offers from Kansas State, Miami (Fla.), and Maryland, among several other schools.
Jefferson is the 12th known commitment to Coach Paul Rhoads‘ class of 2015.
According to Itawamba football’s website, he’s averaging 5.2 tackles per game this season, with three total tackles for loss.
