After his seven tackle, two sack performance, senior defensive end Cory Morrissey was named the Big 12’s Defensive Player of the Week.
Sophomore kicker Cole Netten buried a 42-yard game winning field goal in Kinnick Stadium and was named the Big 12’s Special Teams Player of the Week because of it. Netten also converted on a 47-yard field goal early in the second quarter.
