According to the Ames Tribune,Bill Fennelly’s Iowa State women’s basketball program picked up a commitment on Wednesday from the top-ranked player in the state.
Meredith Burkhall, a 6-foot-3 forward out of Des Moines Roosevelt, is the nation’s 41st ranked player in the class of 2015 according to ProspectsNation.com. Burkhall reportedly chose the Cyclones over Oklahoma, Kansas State, Iowa, Rutgers, LSU and Drake.
Burkhall is the third known verbal commitment in Iowa State’s 2015 class. She averaged 18.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game as a junior.
