Iowa State missed out on a transfer that officially visited Ames on Thursday night via a CBSSports.com stating that Ryan Anderson of Boston College will play the rest of his career at Arizona. Anderson, who averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game as a junior for the Eagles, visited Iowa State last weekend. Iowa State’s depth in the frontcourt likely played against the Cyclones in this one.
Iowa State still has two scholarships to give this summer. One of those offers has been extended to Oregon State transfer, sophomore Hallice Cooke. He will visit St. Joseph’s this weekend and Dayton down the road before making a decision.
The chances of Iowa State banking a scholarship heading into the 2014-15 campaign seems decent at this point in time.
