Rob Dauster from CollegeBasketballTalk.com (a product of NBC Sports) released his early Big 12 basketball power rankings on Thursday afternoon.

He has the Cyclones at No. 4 behind Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma. Not that Iowa State can’t do better than that, but it is hard to argue with Dauster’s logic.

Go ahead and pick anyone in this league to dethrone Kansas. We all saw how that worked out last year with Oklahoma State. Texas is a legitimate preseason No. 2 in the league and argument can be had regarding Iowa State and/or Oklahoma at No. 3.
