What. A. Game. Iowa State’s 18-game losing streak in Stillwater has finally been snapped.
In a triple-overtime nail-biter, the No. 16 Cyclones (17-4, 5-4) finally won at Oklahoma State, via a 98-97 final on Monday night.
It took three extra periods of playing without the services of Georges Niang, who fouled out with a minute to go in regulation and 17 points to his name. DeAndre Kane had a banner game for the Cyclones. While going head-to-head with Marcus Smart, Iowa State’s senior point guard scored 26 points with nine rebounds and nine assists.
Melvin Ejim had 22 and 12 while Dustin Hogue chipped in with 10 and 14.
Up next for the Cyclones is a home date with TCU on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Check out CF later tonight for more analysis of the big win.
