According to an Iowa State spokesman, cornerback Charlie Rogers is no longer with the football program.
Rogers, who primarily played the nickel during his redshirt freshman season in 2013, has transferred to Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs. A reason for the transfer is not known at this time.
Rogers played in all 12 games last season and recorded 18 tackles along with an interception.
Rogers attended Iowa City West High School and was a member of Iowa State’s 2012 recruiting class.
