AMES —Paul Rhoads made one thing very clear during his Wednesday afternoon media session in which he introduced four new members of the Iowa State football program. He was not going to talk about his search for Courtney Messingham’s replacement as Iowa State’s offensive coordinator.
“I’m not here to discuss any of that today,” Rhoads said. “I’m just here to talk about these recruits.”
The only piece of information that Rhoads did reveal is that he would like to have his staff complete by the time January’s recruiting session begins – so at least a timeline is now in place.
Rhoads announced the firing of Messingham and running backs coach Kenith Pope on Dec. 1.
