According to multiple reports, a junior-college offensive lineman is on the verge of committing to Iowa State. The reports are stating that Wendell Taiese, a 6-foot-5, 330-pound lineman out of Laney College (Calif.), visited Iowa State this past weekend and has decided to become a Cyclone.
Trey Scott from Scout.com broke the news on Monday afternoon. Rivals.com and the Ames Tribune have also reported the same information.
In Bobby La Gesse’s report for the Ames Tribune, it notes that Taiese would be a strong-side guard at the next level and that the prospect planned on calling Paul Rhoads on Monday night.
Should this all play out as the reports indicate that it will, Taiese would be the 21st member of Iowa State’s 2014 recruiting class and the fifth junior-college prospect to commit in the past two weeks.
