AMES, Iowa – Iowa State junior Dustin Hogue has been named Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week after averaging 19.5 points and 15.0 rebounds in the Cyclones’ wins against Auburn and UNI.

Hogue, a forward from Yonkers, N.Y., started the week with career-highs of 22 points and 16 boards against the Tigers, recording the Big 12’s first 20-point, 15-rebound performance this season. He then followed with a 17-point, 14-rebound effort against UNI for his third double-double of the season.

On the week, Hogue shot 70.6 percent (12-of-17) from the field, while making 3-of-6 (.500) from 3-point range and 12-of-18 (.667) from the free-throw line.

Hogue is the third different Cyclone to earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors this season. It is the fifth overall award for an Iowa Stater. 

Hogue and the Cyclones return to action Friday against Iowa. Tipoff is slated for 8:30 p.m.
