Cyclones in the NFL: Week two recap

Writtn by Jared Stansbury, CycloneFanatic.com Intern

Week two of the NFL season once again saw former Cyclones making impacts for their teams. We’ll recap what went down for you right here at CycloneFanatic.com.

*** Leonard Johnson, cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, finished with three tackles and one pass deflection in the Bucs 16-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Johnson now has 12 tackles, 11 solo, and two pass deflections on the year.

*** Rookie linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles, Jake Knott, picked up one tackle this week in the Eagles’ 33-30 loss to the San Diego Chargers. The one tackle gave Knott two tackles in the first two weeks of his rookie campaign.

*** Kelechi Osemele started his 18th career game on the offensive line for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens picked up a 14-6 win over the Cleveland Browns.

*** Ahtyba Rubin has been one former Cyclone that hasn’t gotten a chance to play yet for the Cleveland Browns. Rubin has been sidelined for the first two weeks of the year with a calf injury.

*** Seneca Wallace’s Green Bay Packers picked up a 38-20 win over the Washington Redskins. Wallace has not seen action yet this year, as he backs up Aaron Rodgers.

*** A.J. Klein did not record any stats for the second consecutive week in the Carolina Panthers’ 24-23 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

*** Tim Dobbins of the Houston Texans also did not record any stats this week. The Texans beat the Tennessee Titans 30-24 this weekend.
