Iowa State received its second verbal commitment of its 2014 recruiting class on Saturday per a source. 

De’Monte Ruth, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back out of Wilmer-Hutchins High School is that man. According to Ruth’s profile at Rivals.com, Iowa State is the only school that has offered Ruth at this time. 

Ruth is the second known commitment in Iowa State’s 2014 class at this time. The first was Urbandale wide receiver Allen Lazard.
