Go out and by yourself a Carolina Panther shirt.

Former Cyclone linebacking great A.J. Klein was selected by Carolina in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.

Below is what ESPN’s NFL Draft experts Mel Kiper and Todd McShay had to say about the pick.

Kiper: "A.J. Klein – you think about production and versatility. He played inside and outside linebacker at Iowa State. They have another player there, Jake Knott, a late round to priority free agent, a productive player as well. This kid (Klein) can run. A 4.65 40 time. A little stiff in his movement, not real fluid. But the versatility he provides will help the Carolina defense."

"He will help initially as a quality back-up and maybe grow into a starter. When you have consistent productivity and run as well as he did and you can play multiple positions, without a doubt it helps."

McShay: "You know one thing. This guy is going to contribute on special teams. He can run and he can hit. So go cover some kicks and we’ll see what you can do on defense as you continue to develop. I think this is a really good pick because special teams, you’ve got to nail it on day 3."

Klein led Iowa State with 117 tackles during his senior season. He recorded 361 tackles over the course of his four-year career in Ames.
