CycloneFanatic.com is getting a makeover. Check that – Your favorite Cyclone website is getting an all out facelift.

Ever since our site’s current ownership group took over in October of 2009, CycloneFanatic.com has been the equivalent of a 1995 Oldsmobile. It’s been a nice car. It’s gotten us from place to place. The air conditioner always worked on hot days. It’s gotten the job done. From day one, our goal has been to be your "One-stop shop for all things Iowa State athletics." However in the past, you’ve had to leave our site to find the Iowa State football schedule. That’s just not right. We need to do better.

That’s why on August 1, those days will be long gone. The new and improved CycloneFanatic.com will be a tricked out 2013 Wilson Toyota Cyclone Tundra. In addition to schedules, depth charts, scholarship charts, recruiting information, CFTV videos, Cyclone Fanatic Radio podcasts, more content and other goodies will only be a click away – right here at CycloneFanatic.com.

With a new server (that is already in place) and a state-of-the art custom back end to the site, the new CF will be faster and safer for the tens of thousands of loyal fanatics who stop by to chat Cyclones on a daily basis.

Everything we do at CF, we do for three reasons. We want to make your experience as a user the best that it can possibly be. We want to keep the site FREE. And we want to do everything in our power to cover Iowa State athletics as well as anybody out there.

The new CF will enhance our ability to do all of these things and provide even more value for our growing list of loyal advertisers at the same time.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Thanks for being a Cyclone Fanatic and we cannot wait to unveil the new and improved CF for the upcoming Iowa State athletics season.

Chris Williams

Chris was hired as Cyclone Fanatic’s publisher in the fall of 2009. He is Iowa State football's postgame show host on the Cyclone Radio Network and can be heard daily from 4-7 on Des Moines' top-rated sports station, 1460 KXnO. Williams, a 2007 graduate of Iowa State’s Greenlee School of Journalism, is the former publisher of the old CycloneNation.com (Scout.com). He has also written for the Des Moines Register, the Ames Tribune, CycloneReport.com and is the former sports director at KMA Radio. When Williams isn’t working, you can usually find him doing something outdoors with his wife Ashley, daughter Camryn, and Golden Retriever Dierks. He enjoys golfing, boating, country music, the Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Braves and is passionate about any and all motor sports so finding Williams at a local dirt track is very common.
