Fennelly announces that two will transfer

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly announced two roster changes Thursday.

Fennelly announced that sophomore guard Kelsey Harris and freshman center Kileah Mays will transfer from the program.

“You never like to have kids leave the program, but change is often good for all involved parties,” Fennelly said. “I wish them all the best in the future.”

Harris played in 58 career games at Iowa State, averaging 12 minutes per contest. The Brea, Calif., native averaged 2.4 points per game. She shot 33 percent from three-point range in her career, connecting on 14 threes as a sophomore.

“I want to thank the coaches and the University for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this program,” Harris said. “I’d especially like to thank the Cyclone fans, they truly are the best fans in the country. I’ve enjoyed my time here, but hope to find somewhere that I can contribute more to the program.”

Mays, a Duncanville, Texas, native, saw action in eight games as a freshman, averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
