Penn State hands Cyclones first loss of the year

Bill Fennelly’s Iowa State women’s basketball team lost its first game of the 2011-12 season on Friday evening to Penn State by a 66-59 final.

The Cyclones were led by freshman Brynn Williamson, who came off the bench to score 15 points in the win. Junior Chelsea Poppens recorded 11 points and 17 rebounds in the loss.
