The future at quarterback looks bright in Ames.

Grant Rohach is blowing up.

Rohach, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound signal caller out of Moorpark, Calif. and 2012 Iowa State commitment has been selected to participate in the prestigious Elite 11 quarterback competition.

Rohach will head to the campus of Pepperdine University with 23 other quarterbacks from July 18-22.

Past Elite 11 competitors include Mark Sanchez, Matt Cassel, Matthew Stafford, Josh Freeman, Troy Smith, Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Tim Tebow, Blaine Gabbert and more.
