Austen Arnaud joins the CF team in a full-time role

CycloneFanatic.com is excited to announce the hiring of former Iowa State quarterback Austen Arnaud as a full-time site employee.

Arnaud, who was Iowa State’s starting quarterback from 2008-10, will join the Cyclone Fanatic sales team and will be a prominent contributor to the site’s football coverage as well.

"This seemed like a good fit for me," said Arnaud. "I’ve known Jason Loutsch, Chris Williams and the entire Cyclone Fanatic team for along time now. I’ve always wanted to do something that keeps me in close contact with Iowa State athletics and I feel that this job is the best way for me to do that. It will be a pleasure and an honor to join the best fan website in the state.

CycloneFanatic.com’s primary owner Jason Loutsch took control of the site in late-2009. Chris Williams was hired as the site’s publisher in October of 2009. With CycloneFanatic.com’s growth since then, now is the ideal time to bring on a full-time salesperson and Arnaud is the perfect man for the job.

"The entire Cyclone Fanatic ownership group is extremely excited to add Austen to our staff," said Loutsch. "We’re glad that Austen can stay involved with the Cyclone Nation. This is a big day for the future of our website."

Arnaud, who is Iowa State’s all-time leader in completion percentage, is already on the job so expect to see more of him on CycloneFanatic.com in the near future.

Chris Williams

Chris was hired as Cyclone Fanatic’s publisher in the fall of 2009. He is Iowa State football's postgame show host on the Cyclone Radio Network and can be heard daily from 4-7 on Des Moines' top-rated sports station, 1460 KXnO. Williams, a 2007 graduate of Iowa State’s Greenlee School of Journalism, is the former publisher of the old CycloneNation.com (Scout.com). He has also written for the Des Moines Register, the Ames Tribune, CycloneReport.com and is the former sports director at KMA Radio. When Williams isn’t working, you can usually find him doing something outdoors with his wife Ashley, daughter Camryn, and Golden Retriever Dierks. He enjoys golfing, boating, country music, the Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Braves and is passionate about any and all motor sports so finding Williams at a local dirt track is very common.
