A high school defensive lineman committed to Iowa State on Monday night.
Mitchell Meyers, who Rivals.com lists as a 6-foot-4, 241-pound prospect out of Woodlands, Tex. has committed to Iowa State. According to the recruiting services profile, Meyers chose Iowa State over offers from Air Force, Rice, Lamar, SE Louisiana, Texas State and Western Michigan.
According to a Twitter report from Ames Tribune Sports Editor Bobby La Gesse, Meyers will play defensive tackle at Iowa State.
Meyers is Iowa State’s fifth known commitment in its class of 2012.
