There’s been one common denominator in the recruitment of former Michigan State guard Korie Lucious over the past two weeks. That has been Iowa State.

“Marquette basically told me that they don’t want me anymore,” Lucious told CycloneFanatic.com on Monday night. “I’m no longer looking at them.”

A new school is in the mix now and it happens to hail from the Big 12 Conference. Enter Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears into the Korie Lucious conversation.

“Baylor called me a couple of days ago,” Lucious said. “I’m going to go down there and take a visit.”

Lucious said that he hasn’t set an official date to visit Waco but that it will be soon.

As far as a commitment timeline goes, it will likely happen by the end of February.

“I plan on deciding in the next month or so,” Lucious said. “I want to get it out of the way.”

“Iowa State is still one of my top choices right now. It’s basically between Iowa State and whatever else comes my way.”
