Five seniors were in Iowa State’s starting lineup today as the Cyclones defeated Colorado by a 59-41 final. Junior Kelsey Bolte led the way for the Cyclones with 19 points.
Notes: – Bolte’s 19-point performance was the 17th time this season that she’s been in double figures.
– Chelsea Poppens scored 10 points while grabbing nine rebounds. The freshman has recorded four double-doubles this season. Meanwhile, another freshman, Anna Prins scored 12 points and was in double figures for the eighth time this season.
– Alison Lacey did start the game but was only in for seconds as she’s still battling a respiratory illness.
– Iowa State ended the 2010 regular season with a 16-1 record in Hilton Coliseum.
– Iowa State’s 23 regular season wins ties a school record. The Cyclones also won 23 games during the 1997-98 campaign.
